Custom field with hasMany relation

Hi I have created a custom field for adding multiple entries to a hasmany relation (Product and product categories resources). In custom field i can read the existing categories and list the items. But unable to save or update items. Product resource shows form submitted successfully but product categories table's entries are untouched I can't find any documentation related to nova custom field with hasMany relation. Can anybody please share your thoughts about this issue.
