When is Passport coming to Lumen?

Does anyone have an update on when we can expect Laravel's Passort package to be officially supported in Lumen? I know of the following composer package that adds support for Passport to lumen: https://github.com/dusterio/lumen-passport. However if we can expect official support in the near future it might be worth it to us to focus our efforts on different parts of the application therefore eliminating the need of a refactor to utilize the official package.
