Hi all,
Just started messing around with forge and digital ocean. Are we setting up the domain in both the forge and digital ocean admin? For some reason I'm having issues.
I have no problems with setting up the server, default site, database, GitHub connection and deployment. Until I change the domain of the default site.
The nameservers all point to digital ocean but out of frustration I have deleted and created the server a number of times and changed the IP address for the domain. Maybe it's getting hung up and I'm just being impatient? I gave it about 24 hours but still have the same response.
The domain worked the first time and I was able to install the SSL certificate but had to delete the server because I ran into other issues. First timer issues! Maybe because I have the SSL certificate installed on that particular domain it's causing issues re assigning it?
Any comments or suggestions would be much appreciated.
Go to your Forge account and click on the bottom right green chat icon to start a conversation with Forge support. They are pretty fast, even over the weekend, so you can get help from someone who has insight into all specifics about your problem.
Thanks. I sent them a message but haven't got a response. Assuming it's just because it's the weekend.
I ended up just leaving the nameservers with GoDaddy and just setting the IP address with them.
The laracast forge video showed setting up the domain in digital ocean but it didn't work for me. Probably messed something up.
It works now so I'm happy.
