Anyway I noticed now you said the majority of your work is actually in Javascript these days.

Look... I live and breath PHP (not so big on laravel itself I often times just feel more comfortable rolling my own etc.) but if I need to work in laravel I can all thanks to your incredible teaching style.

I want to ask... Don't you want to do for Javascript what you did for PHP?

I am dying to learn Javascript but most of the documentation feels old or strange etc. I would must rather dive into something you put together.

for me, the primary hosting environment is Cpanel, that is the basis of my server understanding.

I'd appreciate and love a guide that can be for Javascript for PHP devs / Beginners

In no order particularly:

Server Side ( how does it work )
Client Side ( how does it work, can people see my code and copy my system? )
Security ( how does the front end remain secure if the auth code runs in the client space vs PHP which is sessions )
Hosting
Vanilla vs next step up ( keep it agnostic as possible )
Typical project structure (OOP and procedurally)

Typically my PHP apps are structured like so:

app <- public cannot access this vendor <- public cannot access this public_html <- public can access these files

Inside app I would have typically cronjobs functions etc

How do you go from that to Javascript?
