This is how I do it for custom names.

Route::controller(AdminPostController::class)
    ->middleware('admin')
    ->prefix('admin')
    ->name('admin.')
    ->group(function () {
        Route::get('/posts', 'index')->name('post.dashboard');
        Route::get('/posts/create', 'create')->name('post.create');
        Route::post('/posts', 'store')->name('post.store');
        Route::get('/posts/{post}/edit', 'edit')->name('post.edit');
        Route::patch('/posts/{post}', 'update')->name('post.update');
        Route::delete('/posts/{post}', 'destroy')->name('post.destroy');
    });

This prefixes both the uri & the route name with admin & admin. So the routes show up as admin/posts for the uri & admin.post.dashboard for the name.

Then you can go and run php artisan route:list and see the names assigned to the routes.
