@Madaminme "blog" is the example name you're using for your project. It will become name of the folder containing all of your application files (application you are just created by using the command). The name/wording is up to you - and of course you will need another one for the next project etc.

Regarding where to place the folders - up to you but think about access permission and how you gonna serve those projects - using "php artisan serve" all the time does the job but is not perfect. For example - I am on the mac and I use Valet for serving sites. I have folder "Sites" where I "parked" my projects (as per Valet documentation) and all of the directories within "Sites" are accessible in web browser by {name}.test - that's how Valet works. Depending on your OS/environment you will find place where you should put your application/s for whatever you use (XAMP/MAMP/Valet/Laragon/Docker/Apache/etc) to work.
