What do you mean by persistent layout?

is persistent layout built the whole js and looks so big than without persistent layout
halo guys, i got some problem, when i was built my app without persistent layout, it looks clearly on my public asset, but when i was trying persistent layout and built my app, it was totally different. Lot of files built on my public asset. do you have any suggestion for me about that case? im using react + ts, inertiajs and laravel 11

@RemiM i was using persistent layout with inertiajs but the problem is bundle size bigger than without persistent layout. when i built my app without persistent layout, thery just built my app.js but when i was using persistent layout, they built the whole js file in resource
