permission denied when creating new laravel valet project

hey guys

i am creating a new laravel valet project and i get the following error when i run the laravel new project

The error:

Library/Caches/composer/files/laravel/laravel/7468f60a6555cb8c62ce576a6a4c913d629cc1dd.zip): Failed to open stream: Permission denied

I tried to change permissions to read and write but still issue persist

So it seems all i needed to do was to say sudo laravel new kayaswiftcode
