I had a similar problem and it was because of the path (PATH system variable).

Php version in my vs code cli is showing 7.4.24 while in my laragon terminal is showing 8.1.13
Please i need help my php version in vs code is 7.4.24 while in my laragon terminal is 8.1.13, please how i can make my vs code cli to show the php version in my laragon terminal which is 8.1.13.

@Ngozistephen ensure the path has the correct php version, if that is also your issue. Like I said it was my issue but it could be something other in your case.
Be careful with the path, read a good tutorial on setting the Windows path before doing anything.

Hello I have the simmilar issue. Can someone help I have installed Laragon on my drive G:/Laragon . But my Visual Code is on C:/ . I dont know whether it is a root cause of the problem, but however if I change Laragon PHP version in Laragon Terminal it shows correct version, but in VC terminal it allways shows 8.1 version which I dont know from where is comming from. Does anyone knows how to solve this? Thanks
