Need to write a shell script to seed database...

... and I have absolutely no idea what to do.

I wouldn't dream of asking this on Stack Overflow but this community is amazing and hoping someone can gimme some pointers or point me in the right direction.

Laravel app, Postgres DB. Just need to seed the roles model.

incase anyone stumbles upon this it was stupidly simple:

#!/bin/sh
php artisan permission:create-role free
php artisan permission:create-role hobby
php artisan permission:create-role semipro
php artisan permission:create-role pro
php artisan permission:create-role business
php artisan permission:create-role admin
php artisan permission:create-role beta
