Use Laravel collections method: https://laravel.com/docs/master/collections#method-sum
In your case since you are modifing every element of collection/array use map and then sum on it: https://laravel.com/docs/master/collections#method-map
$collection = collect($your_array);
$multiplied = $collection->map(function ($item, $key) {
return $item->daily_rent * 2;
});
$multiplied->all();
$multiplied->sum('daily_rent');
The array_reduce callback accepts 2 arguments - the $carry and the $item
The callback needs to return the the value you wish to pass into the next iteration as $carry, for example:
return array_reduce($this->products->toArray(), function($carry, $product) {
return $carry + $product["deposit"];
}, 0);
