Upgrading to AWS Gateway 2.0 in Vapor

Excited about the new AWS gateway version that will decrease cost and increase performance. The issue I am running into when deploying to a site that is attached to a domain from the previous version is

An error occurred during deployment.

Message: AWS: Invalid certificate ARN: arn:aws:acm:us-east-1:*******. Certificate must be in 'us-west-2'.

I already created the new certificate in my zone but, the problem is I can't delete the old because it is attached to the deployment I am trying to switch to the new version.
