Windows based dev enviroment

I have been working with Windows 8.1, Hyper-V, Vagrant and VVV (WordPress Dev) for a while and over the weekend completed preliminary testing of rework of the same tools to create a Laravel based setup.

Allows a simplistic use of the above environment for hosting multiple laravel projects on a Ubuntu 14.04 server running on Hyper-V. Completely scripted down to creating entries in the host file on the windows machine.

I have a little bit of testing to go but I was wondering how many may benefit from some details on how to set up. I have been documenting some of the work but I would be happy to create some detailed guidelines as well as provide the vagrant box, ready to go for hyper-v.

I know there are others out there, like me, who also like to build custom PC's and don't mind the windows environment. Let me know if your interested.

@MrWilde I would definitely be interested. I just re-installed my windows 8.1 machine and want to use Hyper-V instead of virtualbox. I would greatly appreciate some help to get set up with something like homestead for Hyper-v.

There is something like Laragon, but that's not a real VM. I would be interested! Cool stuff :D

I currently have my first box available in Vagrant Cloud @ https://atlas.hashicorp.com/wildetech/boxes/hyper-u1404 I am working on completing the new box and updating ASAP, as well as completing a guide outlining the changes required for setup and operation. Its a pet project and completed in my spare time and I don't have as much of that as I would like.

@MrWilde Thanks you for sharing. I completely understand about not having spare time. I am in the same boat. I would be happy to help contribute once I understand a little more about your process. Just let me know.

@MrWilde I have tried to set this hyper-v environment up but with no luck. I will probably have to switch to virtualbox for the time being unfortunately. I will be looking forward to your documentation on how to set up your box with hyper-v, when you find the time of course.
