Is vanilo perfect to create a e-commerce site?

Vanilo is fine for that. Note that amazon has a lot of features and that most it is build specifically for the website. There is not framework that just copies Amazon. Vanilo can put you in the right direction, but you probably need to build some custom stuff as well!
