PHP book for a developer
Heya!
My friend is a Java programmer and he wants to learn vanilla PHP. He asked me if I know any PHP book that is targeted to other languages developers.
The thing is, he doesn't need to learn what loop, conditionals, variable, OOP, etc. are. He just needs some kind of a "transition" book that includes all of the special things about PHP.
Does anyone happen to know one?

The Zend PHP 5 Certification Study Guide should be good for a start, to understand the core concepts behind the language and the syntax.

http://www.phptherightway.com/ is probably useful too. Gives an overview & examples of 'modern' php but without aiming to be a 'how to write hello world' kinda guide.
