Spark.put (axios) and session timeout

Is there a way to check whether or not the session has expired to trigger session-expired.blade modal?

What's happening right now is that session expires and it doesn't trigger response. So what happens is that if I try to do any action that does Spark.put in the console I get Response 500 error.

Ideally I would like to have an event triggered when the session expires and have the modal pop up.

Can someone help with advice or suggestions? Thanks.
