"Responsive" email templates

Hi!

Is it true that there is no such thing as resposnive design when it comes to emails, and if I need to support mobile devices I just make emails look mobile for all devices? So as I get it: to have your emails rendered properly you need to inline all styles and there is no such thing as inline media queries?

but yes, html email is primitive and still largely relies on table based layout, inline styles and standard fonts.
