Trying to build a PHP dropdown with a API Connection

Hi Guys!

Just joined this forum, so I do apologize for any faults or wrongs in this discussion.

First. My goal is to automate / make the work I do even faster. I have already made a connection with an API to the platform I am currently working on - Doubleclick for Campaign Manager.

For example: I am trying to play with the idea of building a Drop Down to choose my accounts in this platform. But my experience with PHP and API connections is limited. I don't know how I can connect the API to populate a Drop Down.

*Populate a drop-down with Profile ID/Name options.

See image for illustration: http://imgur.com/t3TcxZG

API Reference: https://developers.google.com/doubleclick-advertisers/v2.8/

Hoping you guys could guide/assist me in this difficult learning process... Not starting with the simplest task - hopefully I will learn a lot from the process tho!

Thanks for replying Jestins.

Although I am not sure how to combine this with the current code. Would you be able to elaborate/take a look at the code and kind of guide me on the way?

You can see & edit my code here: https://codeshare.io/24Adj4

I would love to learn more, and Select2 seemed like a easy to use language. But still, it would take me a long time to learn from scratch.

Appreciate the help thus far
