Does taking Technical Check-in require paid subscription?

So, in the series "PHP for begineers" Jeffery says we can take technical check-in with our guest account and we can find the link in the description. But I couldn't find the link, instead there was a icon button to take exam. When I click that, it says i need to get a subscription. I would appreciate clarification from the vets.
