PHRETS actually uses some laravel components internally, like collections. Troy Davisson, who built it, actually works for a company that makes the RETS software that a lot of MLS's use, so he really know his stuff.
All it does is interact with MLS's RETS servers (that you have valid credentials for) so you can pull down data directly from the MLS. From there, it's up to you. Most RETS feeds are several thousand $$ per month. It ain't cheap.
