It sounds like the IP of nexmo is either blocked by your host or you're not using a valid SSL certificate on your website.

I want to ask before I did sms gateway sending with nexmo and it worked
but now when i run i get an error like this
cURL error 35: OpenSSL SSL_connect: SSL_ERROR_SYSCALL in connection to rest.nexmo.com:443 (see http://curl.haxx.se/libcurl/c/libcurl-errors.html)

thank you @bobbybouwmann but after I tried again there was no problem ... I was confused why it was initially running but yesterday had an error and I tried running again
