Yeah, I was just working on this topic. It's lame. For anyone else that finds this..
the barry domPDF package uses mainly mpdf, PDFLib here are the supported styles for mpdf. not flex nor does PDFLib, And I haven't found supported styles list PDFLib. Bueler?
I wonder about using Prince from the command line to generate a pdf in Laravel. Haven't tried yet. It seems to support flex and the @page properties I was looking for... https://www.princexml.com/doc/css-refs/#__docusaurus

@webrobert really interesting find. I hope you will let us know how prince works out. Never seen a php wrapper for it. Might be good. Did you try browsershot? It has rendered everything I have thrown at it (but it haven't been that advanced)
