Suggestions are in the end, suggestions ;)
This is pretty normal, but you're not required to add them in your project. For example, Laravel suggests you to install pusher/pusher-php-server. You only need to install this if you're going to work with Pusher and broadcasting in your application.
These suggestions can be found in the composer.json of very package you have installed. They can help you decide what kind of package to you for certain features.
