HTML Webcasts ?

Hi, I just signed up to this community and love Jeffrey's php tutorial videos so far.

Is there any place on the web where I could find the same type of material for html ?

I am a Paris based art teacher and am trying to modernize my vintage art studio website... Lots of novelties to catch up with so far... Not to mention all the community management part... Oh my... Hope I will make it. Many people recommend using Wordpress, but I find these websites made with wp heavy, bulky and featuring many useless boxes and empty spaces. I know there must be a reason if everyone in the small businesses ends up with this type of relatively inadequate websites nowadays, that it is probably very complicated to do otherwise, but still, I would like to end up with a more tailored and fast loading website. Maybe will I use a wordpress model, but I feel I need to update my programming skills to possibly alter it or get rid of what I do not need in it... I am kinda lost at the moment. Trying to catch up with the new trends in all respects. Maybe will I hire a web developer and a web designer and a community manager in the end, but I would like to have at least some basic knowledge of the various fields that need to be worked on, so I can monitorize their work...

Oh maybe I should just go on pension now, at 40. But let me try first.
