I have an old app I'm trying to migrate from Cakephp 1.3 to Laravel 5.7 Has anyone does this before, and what's the quickest and most efficient way to do this? Links would be most helpful. Thanks!
Time, patience, trial and error, and I don't know what else to say.
I did a Yii to laravel, it just took a little time.
The secret is to know your laravel pretty good, because some things will need re-coding.
You are probably not going to get quick.
in my old office we migrate from Cake 1.3 to 5.4, although i was in charge on moving report generator, before was java based iReport to phpoffice. for me that i liked to try something new L5 and it's queue excites me since old report we generate it by using foreach on whole employee. now we can chunk and queue them so it wont affect whole app performance
