Using S3 SSL certificate error

Hi,

I'm trying to upload files to S3 but I'm running into the following error:

Error executing "PutObject" on "https://s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/../1.png"; AWS HTTP error: cURL error 60: SSL certificate problem: unable to get local issuer certificate (see http://curl.haxx.se/libcurl/c/libcurl-errors.html)

I tried searching for this, and most articles mentions that I should update a certificate, but I fail to understand exactly which certificates, and what the process of doing so is. I'm using cPanel if that's of any help.
