Single sign-on mechanism for Laravel and MediaWiki.

Is there a way I can have my users get logged in to Mediawiki automatically when they log in to my Laravel website? If it is possible, how do I integrate the two? My Laravel website, for example, is http://localhost/example.com/ and the MediaWiki installation is http://localhost/mediawiki/ Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
