Should money be paid for Laravel?

Good afternoon, I am working in a private company, and I have the doubt whether to use the pure framework (for example Laravel 5.8). Should we pay money to any company or entity? Or can we simply use it for internal company use?

You can use it free of charge for internal or commercial uses. Laravel has paid products as well, unless you use one of those, just the framework is free of charge. This is the license used:

Laravel is an open source framework. Which basically means it's completely free to use ;)

You might need to pay for the tooling around Laravel. For example, services like Laravel Forge or Laravel Nova. The framework and the usage of the framework itself is completely free.

Thank you very much, they have taken me out of a good doubt (difference between the framework and its services), there is some email to which I can request a record from Laravel, because I am asked for a verification certificate from Laravel.

I know it sounds irregular, but I would appreciate it.

It's a open source project the "certificate" is the license file which tells it's a MIT licensed project

@fendergx was a company trying to sell you laravel? If so it would be good that Taylor knows of it. Just curious.
