Recommended API for HTTP Status of Site From Different Locations

I need to be able to ping a site from a few various locations around the world at given intervals (I.E., London, Singapore, US). Is there an API that exists that would allow me to send a URL, have it ping the sites, and send me a JSON response of the status codes?

I've been looking around but cannot seem to find anything worthwhile
