Job to selling

I have 3 years of experience as a Laravel developer and I want to leave my job to start selling ERP or CMS solutions to doctors and clinics. Since I'm new to sales, I would like to know if anyone has experience with this. Is it a good idea to collect emails from Google Maps and email doctors to pitch them management software that I can build for them?

After only 3 years of laravel experience, I wouldn't recommend you trying to build bespoke applications on your own for anyone.

Software development is expensive, and good software is best built in teams, as you wont be good at writing specifications and managing feature requirements as well as trying to deliver them.

If you want to be good at sales, go and get a sales job. If you want to write software, go and get a job as an engineer. Going it alone is expensive and can risky and stressful.

I get you might not like your current job, but get good at something before trying to be that guy. 3 years isnt enough, and, as someone who has had 25 years in the industry (as contractor, self employed, employer and employee), I wouldn't do what you are suggesting. Nor recommend it.
