CSS or more (backend / devops)

Hi, I have experience as laravel developer. I think not 100% sure but I think I am good with backend and php laravel javascript. But when it comes to design (CSS, tailwind) its so difficult. Now my question is should i force on learning and improving css or improve my backend skills and learn devops.

What your experience say ??

Hi @abdulrehman176617, IMHO, i think devops is a good bet because you'll become an expert at handling your server infrastructure. It comes in handy when you want to scale your laravel applications using load balancers and auto scaling ... etc.

Having said that, if you are a solo developer, you should focus first on learning principles of design and then CSS. Because when we present something to clients, it has to look good. You may build a very complex backend, but the clients don't understand it...

  • If its pretty and does the job clients will love it.
  • If it's not pretty but does the job, clients wont like it... no matter how awesome the backend code is

There are some very good courses on design on udemy.

These are my personal opinions based on my experience. Please do check with others also.
