babenkoivan/scout-elastic-driver and Laravel 7

Hey guys,

has anyone here successfully used this (babenkoivan/scout-elasticsearch-driver) Laravel Scout driver for Elasticsearch in combination with Laravel 7.0 or higher?

I am able to create indices and mappings but the indexing part doesn't work. No errors show up in the Laravel logs.

I've created an issue on the github project page but haven't received a response yet and was hoping maybe someone on this forum has already encountered this and found a solution.
