Imap not working on AWS after migrating from DO

I have a web app that I hosted on DO, and recently I switched to AWS server. Both servers I setup using Forge. Everything is working well but I seem to have lost imap functionality. I am still using php 7.2 and have checked that php-imap extension is installed on the new server. I had an inbox module that would connect and import all emails using Imap but this is now not working. The code for this module is written php native coding
