How do you personally manage assets on forge?

I am currently investigating forge as a solution to my server management woes.

I'm really liking it so far, seems clean and quick. But I am trying to think of good strategy to tackle asset heavy websites when deploying only via git.

So how do you guys manage it? Do you have build scripts that deploy out to S3 for certain folders? Do you just include it all in git?
