Forge question about deploying into an already established droplet

Hi,

I'm new here and LOVING Laravel (.NET developer that has moved full steam into the open source community.)

So, my question is probably newbish so forgive me.

Im looking into forge to deploy a project i'm wrapping up. The project is in Laravel (of course) and will be using Digital Ocean's service. The site is basically made up of two parts.

  1. A word press installation for the 'information' part of the website and
  2. the 'portal.----.com' app part of site (the laravel project)

I know Forge can create and deploy into a droplet, but can I deploy into an already established droplet (one that is already housing the WordPress site)?

I want to know is this possible with Forge before I try and sign up for an account. (Paying isnt the issue, just wanting to make sure I can indeed to this)

Thanks,

I really don't think so. I'm pretty sure Forge needs to create the droplet (so it has access to it). I don't think it can manage already existing droplets because nothing will be set up the way Forge sets it up.

ahhhh!!! lol

I was hoping it was possible.

I still may just use Forge regardless. The benefits definitely outweighs the cons. (push to deploy and such).

Thanks for clearing this up for me,

You can always have it set up a new droplet, and move your wp to that alongside your laravel code.
