Floating IP Downtime with Digital Ocean and Forge - More Than Once

I set up a floating IP at Digital Ocean (at DO under Networking->Floating IP) and assigned my Forge server to it. Then modified my domain DNS to point to that floating IP. It worked as expected for a while (domain resolves to floating IP, floating IP forwards to Forge server droplet).

Then my site went down and the floating IP was unresponsive. I unassigned and reassigned the floating IP to my Forge server droplet, and that got things working again for a while, then BAM down again. So I abandoned the floating IP and pointed my domain back to the Forge server droplet directly.

Curious if anyone else has experienced this?
