Accessing db with MySQL Workbench after changing IP on AWS?

I recently changed my AWS server to use an Elastic IP. Is there something that I need to do with my SSH key or access my database with MySQL WorkBench? I set my IP in MSWB to the new Elastic IP but that's all I have done expecting it would work. But it seems I cannot connect anymore.
