How to debug "npm run dev"

I have a strange error running "npm run dev" (see my previous post https://laracasts.com/discuss/channels/elixir/webpack-mix-how-to-change-a-script-directory )

Does anybody known how to make the command "npm run dev" verbose, ... I want to see the root cause of the error message "Module not found: Error: Can't resolve ..."
