Here is the delete Route, function in Controller, and the view:

In your web.php

Route::get('/articles/{article}/delete', 'ArticlesController@delete');
Route::delete('/articles/{article}', 'ArticlesController@destroy');

In your ArticlesController.php

    public function delete($id){
        $article = Articles::find($id);
        return view('articles.delete', compact('article')); //istead of compact, or pass the $article to the view

    }
    public function destroy($id){
        //die('Hello');
        //delete the resource
        $article = Articles::find($id);
        $article->delete();

        return redirect('/articles/');

create a view with the name delete.blade in the articles folder and add the form action like:

......
 <form method="POST" action="/articles/{{$article->id}}">
                @csrf
                @method('DELETE')
......
