Here's the thing: A newbee using AI is an accident waiting to happen. You know as well as I do code can appear to work, but could be working wrong. I am referring to business apps. Someone who doesn't have some knowledge of (as example) how to properly save and store an invoice has no business using AI.

I can tell you right now, I will not shop on some of the "rouge" online shops. And it's because I fear that the programmer had no clue of what they were doing.

Now Amazon, Walmart, Ebay, Chewy, etc, yes I will use those as I am sure they have seasoned programmers who have a clue.

Someone like you who knows the code is fine with AI. But these days there are newbees using AI, that has no idea what they are doing. That's the scary part.

I hope one day it is made law that no out of country code can be used for anything in The United States. And all code that personal data is involved with has to be checked and verified as safe like the FDA verifies drugs.

It's only going to get worse before our government realizes they need to regulate these rouge programmers who put dangerous code out there.

Like Laravel, it is very secure when you know what you are doing. But in the wrong hands it can also be very insecure.

Of course for someone properly using AI as a tool (but could do it without AI) that is different. Which is the way it needs to change to, like an electrician going through a 4 year apprenticeship before being fully qualified.

I highly advocate new regulations these days due to AI in the hands of inexperienced programmers. Most U.S. cities do this for police, firefighters, plumbers, electricians, etc. So why not programmers? Perhaps have a grandfather clause in for someone who has already programmed for at least 4 + years.

Just my 2.5 cents.

Ask yourself this. Would I want an apprentice electrician who's only had a weeks experience running wires in my house and messing with the breaker box.

I almost bet the answer is no.

It's the same reason I won't shop at 99 percent of online shops. How do I really know I am being safely taken to Paypal for example.

I use Acronis True Image for backup, but I trust their checkout. Same with Macrium Reflect. But I would not trust sites or checkout from certain foreign countries.

It's awful we have a World Wide Web but these days you cannot trust the majority of sites due to evil doers. Scammers, people planting malware, etc.

I still miss the old MS DOS days before there was a WWW.
