@deryckoe I deal with imposter syndrome every time I create any sort of educational content. I often tell friends, every time I write a talk, there's a moment where I pause and say.. this is so stupid. Everyone already knows this. People are going to think I'm so dumb for putting all these hours into presenting something they all already know.

Then I remind myself that every time I've felt that way in the past, someone has said they got value out of it, so it's worth sharing for those new folks, even if the experts in the industry may think I'm a total dweeb.

I would say that, as a bearded white dude with a bit of grey in my beard, I don't run into people commonly assuming I'm "not a developer", because I look the part. It's certainly happened, but that's more commonly because a super mega nerd thinks all Laravel devs aren't "real devs" lol but we're all familiar with that one.
