I experienced the same issue.

The reason it doesn’t work seems to be that the <livewire:published-count> component is not re-rendered when an article is deleted. During edit or creation, the component is re-rendered because a full-page reload occurs via a redirect, but this doesn’t happen for deletions.

I was able to fix this by setting a key to force the component to re-render when the key changes. This updated the “Show Published” count even after deletions. Here’s how I implemented it:
