Certainly! Anything that can be done with a package can be accomplished without the package. You'll just have to build it yourself.

While building it yourself is a truly ideal approach when you're learning, imagine how it feels after scaffolding out the same ol' registration and login code over hundreds of learning experiments and real-world projects. This, of course, is what led to auto-scaffolding packages like Breeze and Jetstream (which have since been merged into Laravel). So in essence, these packages are meant as a significant convenience that allows you to quickly put your core ideas and designs into motion, without having to first type out a ton of inspiration-dulling boilerplate utility code before you can really dive into whatever you're imagining.
