@lukedowning19, you mention that you don't particularly like homebrew, lucky for you there's no need to install it solely for MySQL client binaries - you already have them.

DBngin does actually install them, and you can plop something like this in your ~/.zshrc to get access to all the MySQL CLI tools like mysql, mysqldump, mysqladmin, and so forth:

export PATH=/Users/Shared/DBngin/mysql/8.0.33/bin:$PATH

This path may not be the same for everyone, especially once a new version of MySQL is unleashed on us. You can retrieve the correct path using DBngin itself by clicking on the little right arrow next to the MySQL service and then tap Export Environment Variables to Terminal - you can copy the export line from the terminal that pops up and slap it in your .zshrc.

Presumably this works the same for PostgreSQL and Redis, too!
