Great series and love how you teach Jeffery! Haven't coded in like 2 years so wanted to just refresh my memory a little and it's been great so far.

I did have an issue though where my Id's for the Posts were returning as strings and not integers. So, this caused the authorize function to not work for me. Now this issue could just be something weird with my setup with mysql and php config. Had to add the following to my Database class to resolve the issue.

$this->connection->setAttribute(PDO::ATTR_EMULATE_PREPARES, false);
$this->connection->setAttribute(PDO::ATTR_STRINGIFY_FETCHES, false);

I am sure there could be a better way to handle this, but this worked for me and may help others who might run into a similiar issue with their setup.
