A few things that I’ll add to the “minify and concatenate front end assets” part are:

if you are working alone or in a small team of 2-3 people, it won’t be a problem but keep in mind that you have to remember to run the commands before deploying code to staging production
A more complex option would be to setup a CI/CD workflow like GitHub Actions to do this for you so you don’t have to remember to rerun npm run production all the time and dealing with possible conflicts that can become annoying
if you are in a bigger team, automating this process is a must, otherwise it will become so time consuming and chaotic.
don’t forget to check out a CDN like CloudFront to serve all of these assets from there rather than the server itself. CDNs are faster for serving such files and the assets won’t bother your web server’s resources.
