If I die and dump and debug $input (ddd($input)) before the Validator statement in 2 different fortify action classes (CreateNewUser.php & UpdateUserProfileInformation.php), I get two different kinds of objects. The Update class returns an array with all fillable items in the user model, even those not in the form saved.. The CreateNewUser class returns the $request object only. that is, only what is contained in the registration form. Why is that?

the below code snippets show the classes as originally delivered. I have added more fields to the user model, might help if you try this example with an extra field or two in the User Model / Table.
