Honestly this is such a great addition. Clean and easy to use, encapsulates related pieces of logic together, very much tidies up the blade files.

For my applications, this means I can ditch lots of scrappy bits of code. For example, presenting different coloured badges, with icons, when showing models that derive their status from an enum.

Old code: <span class="badge @if($model->status=='new') bg-green-300 @endif"><i class="fa {{ $model->status->icon }}"></i>{{ $model->status }}</span>

Keep in mind that this shows only "new" - in the end I hid all this in the enum (yuk) so I could do $model->status->class() and $model->status->icon()

New code: <x-statusbadge :status="$model->status" />

All the logic is in the component, and there's no need to run a whole front end framework for these little use cases. If you're using Tailwind, it also helps to keep those definitions DRY.

Combined with Livewire, you have a full stack framework!
