🧠 Why use `array_key_last()` in the Router?

Okay, I'm not sure who needs this, but just in case you're wondering why Jeff is using the array_key_last method, here’s an explanation for it.

🧩 What does this mean for the router?

Because PHP is an interpreted language, it executes code line by line, from top to bottom, in the exact order it appears.

So, as the router loads the routes.php file, it processes each route one by one, like this:

"Okay, I'm being asked to register a GET route for /notes."

"I'll add it to my internal list of routes ($this->routes[])."

"Ah, they're also asking to apply the 'auth' middleware to this route."

"Since I'm processing this in sequence, I know the last route I just added is /notes,
so I'll assign the 'auth' middleware to that route."

✅ Why it works

This is why it's safe to modify the last route using:

array_key_last($this->routes)
