@mhess If you have a mac, it is super easy.

step 1:

Make sure you have home brew installed. To check if you have homebrew installed type "brew upgrade." If you don't, then go install homebrew: Instructions here.

#step 2 make sure you have NPM installed (or yarn). For that, do node -v If you don't have NPM installed, I'd type the following command.

brew install node

Say yes, to all dependencies or whatever.

once you have NPM installed just type: npm init vue@latest or npm init vue@xxxx

Then, it will prompt you for a project name.
package name. And then you need to cd into your directory and type npm run dev.
